NEWS

06/10/05 -- The impetus for this strip came from the fact that I recently had to have very minor surgery. We're talking so minor that I could have done it at home. It may have been rustic, bloody and painful but I could have done it nonetheless. So, a month or so after my minor surgery I get a bill for over five hundred dollars. Turns out the health insurance that I so happily acquired through my school didn't cover this specific procedure. And I'm out five hundred smackers. They also don't cover the eighty dollars that the first doctor charged for just looking at it and telling me to go somewhere else. Hmm, anyway, I'm very disgruntled.

Now, here's some real news. Bob Stevenson of HB-Comic Blog (a.k.a. Journey into History) graciously reviewed Hugh & Bot today. Go read the review and then continue to read his comic strip because it's excellent. There are a lot of "webcomic reviewers" out there lately and the only two that I really take any stock in are Ping over at Webcomic Finds and of course, Mr. Stevenson. Keep in mind I'm writing this before the actual review of Hugh & Bot has been posted so I don't know whether the review is positive or negative. Not that a negative review would color my judgement...much.

I added some new links in the "links section" (of all places) so I suggest you go and check out my friends Ted, Jason, Sarah, Jeff, and Dan's websites. They are all waaay more talented than me and I think you'll enjoy their stuff. That's all for today. Have a great weekend everybody!

Cool! I like the "drab-paper"-like style for this one.
