For some reason I couldn't get the text to look right when I drew this
particular strip. Hence the lack of spacing between lines.
I'm sure you'll be able to handle it. We will not be following
Hugh to Iowa in order to watch him take on what I have dubbed "The
Snowlar Bear." Not anytime soon anyway. Perhaps in
flashback form at some point. No, this strip marks the end of one
of my favorite storylines to date. So I've been
reading The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, and I know I'm a little
late boarding the Douglas Adams train, but man is this guy a
genius. Not only are the books funny. Not only are they
original. Not only are they engaging. But it's some of the
best damn writing I've ever read. And I've read some good stuff
(I am an English major*, you know). If you haven't yet,
read the Hitchhiker series. I'm about halfway through Life, the
Universe, and Everything. After I finish
this series I plan on reading the Narnia series. A series I've
personally rejected for quite some time simply based on the hype.
You may say, "but Drew, you love Lord of the Rings and it's totally
hyped out!" This much is true, but Lord of the Rings was
introduced to me by my father when I was but a fledgling child.
The whole "hype" issue was one of the reasons I steered clear of
Hitchhiker's Guide, but now I think I just need to get over
myself. Sometimes, the hype is true. I know this post is long enough
but I want to point you guys over to Short Pants Press where yours
truly has two entries in the Gag Panel Challenge. They're the "t-rex" and "star wars" ones if you're wondering. Anyway go check the site out. My friend Jason and his friend Sarah run it.
Very cool stuff, indeed. --drew *any
grammar and/or spelling mistakes can not be counted against me as I'm
not writing a paper or story to be graded in these update posts.
That said, I always say that grammar and spelling are important no
matter what you're writing. And that being said, I'm pretty bad
with grammar. Also, you shouldn't start sentences with
"and." You probably shouldn't start them with "also"
either. I'm done now. |
Hugh new hobby of collecting t-shirts of festivals and going to them is cool.

I must say, that's a perfect way to end the story. It'd be kinda cool if one of the possible shirt designs was the "Mmm Snowballs" one Bot just made. Or the Ritz shirts they had earlier. It'd make me feel like I'm living the comic!
